Audio Sessions
Initiating a call:
To initiate a call, follow this procedure:
Open the Audio Compass application with your license key. To initiate a call, select an online user from the user list and click on the Call button (green). The button changes to bright green. You will then be connected to the selected user.

The icon changes to a phone icon and the audio options are enabled. When the user picks up the call, you can directly talk over your microphone. You can adjust the audio levels by using the sliders.
To mute the mic or speakers, click on the mic and speaker icons. To enable them, click once more.

Receiving calls:
Audio Compass will ring when an incoming call occurs. You can accept the incoming call by pressing the “Answer” (green) button or decline the call by pressing the “Hang Up/Decline” (red) button.

To end any audio session, please choose the Hang Up/Decline (red) button and you will be disconnected.
If you like using shortcuts, you can use the keyboard hotkeys Alt+C to call, Alt+A to answer and Alt+H to hang up.
The mute buttons allows you to switch the speakers and microphone on or off. You can also use the sliders to adjust audio sensitivity.
Text Chat
Audio Compass offers a shared global chat room where users can exchange text messages.
You can use the chat option by popping out the chat window.
Just click the "Open chat" button near the right of the client area.
The screen appears as follows.

To send a chat message you can simply type your message and then click send or hit Enter.
The chat room does not allow you to chat privately with one individual without the others seeing your conversation.
You can see all users online within your broadcast group as well as their status (online, away, in an audio session, etc.) in your contact list.
A bright compass icon will appear next to a user who is online and available, and a grey compass icon will appear next to a user who is currently offline.
The messages are sent to all users in your contact list who are currently online.
Typically, a user name identifies the individual in the chat room.

If Audio Compass does not have current focus, the Chat allows you to receive a notification when new messages arrive. You will then see the blinking Audio Compass icon on the task bar. You can set your status as shown in this image.
